Hi there. I’m Alex. I am not an actual pirate, and likely, neither are you.

(Though I have met some, and I did have to wear an eye patch at one point!)

I won’t train you to be a pirate, but I will help you attack your goals with the same enthusiasm as Anne Bonny chasing booty.

No matter where you are in your running journey, I’m happy to help you sail (run!) the rough seas to where you want to go.

Every year I find added value in strength work for the trail and ultra runner. We need strong legs, core, and posterior chain to move long distances through the mountains.

Some of the best races and training sessions are where you are able to enter a mental flow state. In my previous careers as a trauma nurse, wildland firefighter, and conflict journalist, I learned to tap into the depths of my mental capacity - and I’ll help you too!
